Capitol Cardiology Associates

The clinical staff and Providers are EXCEPTIONAL. Dr. FORRESTER IS a top tier cardiologist! The practice managers however are terribly insensitive and unprofessional. Marla and Angela (practice managers???) are providing medical advice without getting adequate information on patients. They both- individually gaslight patients and confabulate patients/caregivers words in their documentation. Furthermore, the management are dismissive, confrontational and lack compassion (a necessity in healthcare). It is unfortunate- the management team at multiple locations are a poor reflection of the providers! No doubt healthcare has suffered!!! Primarily due to overwhelming patient volume, increase acuity and subpar professionals. insured patients and their caregivers are treated poorly. As a healthcare professional and a patient- it’s imperative that you know or attempt to understand your patients. More so when the person calling for assistance is a physician or nurse and does NOT NEED TO BE CHASTISED WITHOUT PROPER knowledge of the situation. In the hospital, the clinic or telehealth- I would never abruptly interrupt or demean someone who is anxious and asking for SAFE AND CLINICAL GUIDANCE or ReAssurance. It is evident management and non-clinical staff are overwhelmed - and as a result unpleasant to cardiac patients and their care team. Non-clinical staff are providing medical advice. Medical advice without understanding the patients history or complaint. They will not give you an opportunity to provide updates or info and will rely solely on the minimal documentation for each telephone or in in-person encounter. Not good/BEST practice to escalate and contribute more anxiety to cardiac patients and their support team. A suggestion to conclude the review- staff is in desperate NEED AND REQUIRE REMEDIATION AND TRAINING on customer service and de-escalation strategies. Marla and Angela ARE Not THE BEST gate keepers for quality Cardiologists/ Electrophysiologists. They have shown on multiple occasions that some people SHOULD NOT BE IN HEALTHCARE. Caution- they are quick to talk over you and project their frustrations on prospective and established patient population. .

This was my first visit to a specialist, Dr. Venugopal. While the appointment took time to get, I was greeted promptly, the staff treated me well both coming in and leaving and the doctor is one of the finest I've encountered. Not only was he informative, his professional demeanor was complemented by a a humor that matched my own, a talent not always found in potentially serious situations. I would highly recommend!

On my first visit to Capitol Cardiology Associates, the staff were punctual, professional & friendly. I enjoyed every aspect of the visit. The lady who checks you in has high energy & is very fun. My nurse was very nice as well. But my doctor, Dr. Foushee was attentive to symptoms & asked lots of question to find out the problem & it's source. I had an excellent experience at Capitol Cardiology Associates. From the moment I walked into the suite everyone was friendly and courteous. When I was taken in the back the Medical Assistant was very professional and made me feel comfortable. My Cardiologist, Dr. Venugopal, had an excellent bedside manner and reassured me that all was okay. The checkout receptionist was very helpful as well. She made sure I had all the documents I needed and provided a copy to my primary care physician. Well done guys!❤️
